At times this film doesn't seem to know if it wants to be a treatise on organic farming, or a shambling weepy about a self absorbed woman on holiday. Some nice observations about growing up, splendid characters and animation, but not one to hunt down.

i love this movie so much. asian culture from japan to India effected by the paddy field.. there is somethg to remember bout that. its remind me as a kid in Malaysia years ago(yeah.. malays also eat rice..) . but my favourite Miyazaki anime is mimi wo sumaseba (whisper of the heart), it made me cry!
